The project targeted beneficiaries through a sector approach, where JAA focused on sectors and industries directly effecting rural poverty, e.g., dairy, gems and jewelry, marble and granite, and horticulture, with the aim of improving economic livelihoods and employment in disadvantaged areas such as Baluchistan, Kyber Pakhtoon Khua, and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). Through Common Facility Training Centers set up by JAA, co-sponsored by the industries and the project, common skill gaps were assessed. By addressing these skill gaps through workforce initiatives.
