National Solidarity Program II and III
July 2012
FLAG coordinates directly with the Afghanistan Ministry for Rural Development and Rehabilitation (MRRD) to implement NSP. NSP aimed to develop citizen participation and create institutional structures within each community to design economic development strategies, and select, implement, and monitor development projects. NSP staff mobilize citizen participation, and focuses on prioritizing development projects based on a comprehensive development strategy and plan. The overall plan of technical assistance shifts the emphasis to providing communities with training to implement the strategy, economic development projects, and to monitor progress with an end result of sustainability.
