Established in 2010, USAID’s Policy, Planning and Learning Bureau (PPL) is leading Agency efforts to become a learning organization that captures and disseminates knowledge while building capacity to implement reforms enacted under the USAID Forward initiative. Through the ProgramNet website, PPL is providing USAID staff with an online knowledge management platform that promotes knowledge sharing and learning around the Program Cycle.

SBAIC members Development & Training Services Inc. (dTS), as the prime contractor, and Development InfoStructure (Devis) with additional support from Engility Corporation, provide direct management and operational support for ProgramNet by hosting webinars, providing practical tools, and promoting best practices for each phase of the Program Cycle. This seamless support is managed in close collaboration with PPL staff, and has resulted in a growing internal, interactive online community of over 3,000 active USAID staff users worldwide.

On April 17, 2014, the combined USAID-dTS ProgramNet team under the leadership and guidance of USAID’s COR, Kerri DiZioglio, was awarded the Administrator’s Management Improvement Award by USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah. In announcing the award, J Alexander Their, Assistant to the Administrator at the PPL Bureau noted: “This recognition is for exemplary service demonstrated during the 2013 rating cycle in transforming the way the agency is learning and communicating with ProgramNet.” He added that as a result of ProgramNet, and the work of the ProgramNet team, thousands of staff were working better.
