SBAIC Member SSG Advisors’ Agricultural Fast Track Leverages $11mln in Private Investment for Small Holders in Cote d’Ivoire
December 2013

SBAIC Member SSG Advisors, an 8(a) small disadvantaged business (SDB) based in Burlington, Vermont has been implementing the Agricultural Fast Track (AFT) Fund for the USAID/Bureau for Food Security.  The AFT is a joint partnership of USAID, SIDA and the African Development Bank and is a project preparation grant facility, which targets the 'missing middle' in investment in agricultural infrastructure in Africa.

At a signing ceremony last month, the AFT signed an agreement with FENACOVICI in Cote d'Ivoire to support an $11 million investment in irrigation and other infrastructure improvements.  The investment will benefit more than 10,000 smallholder farmers, 90% of whom are women. For more information, check the AFT website: http://www.aftfund.org/fenacovici-signs-grant-agreement-aft
