Membership Meeting Announcement

Mark your calendars to attend the October 2nd SBAIC Membership Meeting at Integra’s Office (1100 Vermont Ave, Washington DC Suite 750) from 10AM-12PM.

During the last hour, our guest speaker is Mr.  Maurico Vera, Director of USAID’s Office of Small Disadvantage Business Utilization (OSDBU), and his Deputy Director, Ms. Kimberly Ball.    Mr. Vera and Ms. Ball will provide greater insight into future business opportunities with USAID.

Mr. Vera leads USAID’s efforts to provide maximum opportunities for small, disadvantaged, women-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned and HUBZone small businesses to participate in USAID contract awards through outreach, education and creative procurement initiatives.

OSDBU also oversees USAID’s efforts to increase the participation of minority-serving institutions of higher education in USAID-sponsored programs and activities. Since October 2009, Mr. Vera has also served as chair of the Federal OSDBU Directors Interagency Council.
