SBAIC member ME&A was recently awarded a five year contract to execute the Clean Energy and Water Program (CEW) for USAID in Armenia. The program is designed to support the country's energy and water security and improve climate resilience by providing technical assistance to support activities on integrated energy and water planning while working at the community-level to improve energy and water management practices through capacity building and the implementation of small-scale pilot projects. The overarching goal of the program is to support the following objectives: 1. Introduce an integrated approach to sustainable energy and water management 2. Help local communities and enterprises in selected water basins improve the accessibility, reliability, quality, efficiency, and affordability of energy and water services. 3. Improve and strengthen the application of hydropower and water regulations. The project is being funded through USAID's Water II IQC.
