June 16, 2020 Update

USAID has updated its COVID-19 frequently asked questions for partners. All updates are highlighted in yellow, and include topics concerning funding opportunities, allowable costs, and authorized departures and evacuations.

Additionally, USAID has issued updated PPE Guidance, announced earlier this week. This includes the FAQ on PPE document as well as the General guidance on PPE document.

Finally, USAID reached out to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to find out if they are planning to extend the flexibilities provided in the OMB memoranda dealing with COVID-19 issues: M-20-11, “Administrative Relief for Recipients and Applicants of Federal Financial Assistance Directly Impacted by the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19),” issued on March 9, 2020 and M-20-17, “Administrative Relief for Recipients and Applicants of Federal Financial Assistance Directly Impacted by the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) due to Loss of Operations,” issued on March 19, 2020. OMB informed us that they are working on updates and hope to get them out by June 18, 2020. As soon as we hear from OMB we will update USAID’s Memo to reflect the OMB flexibilities.
