At Credo Advisory, we believe in the transformative power of communication to drive development and foster meaningful change. As a leading Black woman-owned strategic communications firm, we support international partners, governments, and organizations in advancing critical agendas like the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We design communication programs and interventions that raise awareness, build trust, and influence behavior in global health, agriculture, energy, peacebuilding, and climate resilience.
Media Partners – Cracking the Nut® 2024 Conference
A recent benefit of our SBAIC membership was our partnership with Connexus Corporation, which engaged us as a media partner for its 13th Cracking the Nut® Conference, this time in Abuja, Nigeria, on October 7-8, 2024. Themed “Preparing for Accelerated Climate Change,” the event brought together over 150 participants from 14 countries. The focus was on mitigating greenhouse gas emissions, promoting climate adaptation, and ensuring food security in agriculture and production.
Sponsored by USAID/Nigeria, DAI, Catholic Relief Services, and other global partners, the conference provided a collaborative platform to shape the future of climate action in Africa.
“We are proud to have partnered with Connexus to help address the existential threat that is climate change. Our role is to amplify the vital conversations and interventions around climate resilience and food security in Africa – the region most affected and least prepared,” said Awele Okigbo, Credo Advisory’s CEO.
Credo’s technical assistance included advisory, design, photography, and news media coverage, in addition to amplified key messages on climate-smart agriculture and resilience across various digital platforms.

Storytelling for Impact – Amayi Foods
We partnered with Amayi Foods, a Nigerian food manufacturing company, to create a mini-documentary that tells the story of its inception and growth. The documentary highlights the visionary women behind the brand and their commitment to strengthening food security, improving nutrition outcomes, and driving localization in Nigeria. This project coincides with eha Impact Ventures (EIV) $75,000 investment in Amayi Foods, which will expand its operations, create jobs, and empower female farmers in communities.
“Our work is rooted in the belief that effective communication can catalyze progress. Whether it’s creating visibility around development goals or driving advocacy at the grassroots, Credo is committed to fostering positive change,” said Grace Alegeh, a partner at Credo Advisory.
Goalkeepers 2024 Annual Event
We returned to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Goalkeepers 2024 annual event in New York during the United Nations General Assembly. This year’s theme, “Leaders in Nutrition,” celebrated individuals making progress in nutrition and emphasized the need for collective global action to address malnutrition and achieve the Global Goals by 2030.
Strengthening Peace and Resilience in Nigeria (SPRiNG)
Credo is collaborating with Tetra Tech and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office on the SPRiNG program. Our initial support includes developing program communication strategies, stakeholder engagement frameworks, and spearheading the development of the SPRiNG website strategy.
