How to Address Gender in Your ICT4D Projects
March 2012

Two partners, Integra and Sonjara, who are also both members of SBAIC, presented at USAID about ICT and gender. ICTs can be the source of empowerment to women, but they are not a silver bullet that will overcome traditional disparity based on gender.

Featured speakers Siobhan Green, CEO Sonjara, Inc. and Ann Mei Chang, Sr. Advisor for Women and Technology at US Dept of State focused on:

• Common challenges that prevent women from accessing ICTs
• How to measure gender in ICT projects
• How to use technology to address traditional gender barriers in international development.

You can read more about the event, watch video and download presentations on USAID's GBI ICT4 Development site.
